Day 47 – A.R.K

A- Acts of

R- Random

K- Kindness

I heard this phrase a couple of years ago and it has stuck with me ever since. I’ve tried it out over the years and all I can say is that doing acts of random kindness is such a cool way to live.

I love it when someone holds the door open for me because my hands are full or lets me use their unused beach towel because I forgot to bring mine. They’re little things, but the important element is that they come from a place of kindness and consideration. It’s the most wonderful feeling when someone does something selfless for you, just so that you’ll be blessed.

Equally wonderful is doing something selfless for someone else, just so that they can be blessed. It puts a big smile on your face knowing that you’ve helped them – just to be kind.

Wouldn’t it be fab to start looking out for opportunities to perform Acts of Random Kindness everywhere you go? Not only will you help make someone else’s life a little better, but you’ll do the same for yourself too.

🙂

  1. I really love random acts of kindness. A few months ago I found a bag of little chocolate Easter eggs, just as I was about to board a train. I decided that rather than let the bag go to waste, I would take it and then hand out the eggs to people on the train – it was so much fun! Especially when I gave one to the conductor, who is more used to getting abuse from passengers than Easter eggs. The smile on his face was totally worth it.
